Barry Williams

Barry was born in Milwaukee WI and lived in central and southeast Wisconsin for most of his life.  A job change brought him to the Peoria IL area in 2001.  Barry came to understand the reality that he was a sinner separated from God and in need of a Savior during 8th grade catechism classes.  While he put his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ at that time, it wasn't until marriage to his wife Philippa shortly after college graduation that he committed every area of his life to the Lord and came to fellowship in an assembly of believers where personal spiritual growth occurred.  Retired from a career in engineered sales of industrial valves, pumps, and specialty piping, Barry and Philippa have 3 children and 8 grandchildren.  In addition to serving in various roles at FBC, Barry enjoys family time, gardening, hiking, and travel - especially when travel involves visits to missionaries.

Some books Barry read recently are: Gospel Treason by Bigney, He Touched Me by Trogdon, The Shepherd Leader by Witmer, Angola Beloved by Wilson, The Disciple's Manual by Macdonald
